About RPCX 8322
Built as “Pride of Texas” series for the SP Sunset Limited in 1950 as a diner bar/lounge. Car is self–contained with 240–3 phase AC, powered by a Stadco gen set, with electric baseboard heat and R134a air conditioning systems.
Features include: all Margard FRA type 1 & 2 glazing, in compliance with title 49CFR part 223. The car has seven full–sized escape windows, an onboard air compressor, a full wet bar, and seating for 46 passengers. Car has AEI tags, current COT&S and is located in Ohio. The car is not Amtrak certified.
